The initial motivation for creating Team Courage was to address the too-often-ignored issue of the abuse of men, providing compassionate and meaningful support to its victims and other affected family members. Founded by a group of disabled veterans who witnessed the detrimental effects this type of abuse has on the man, his work, as well as his children, Team Courage aims to create a society where the voices of male abuse victims are not only heard but believed, understood, and supported. As such, these programs remain at the core of our organization's work.
Through strategic partnerships with the Veteran Administration, the Department of Defense, and other nonprofit organizations, Team Courage is uniquely positioned to make a significant impact on the lives of male abuse victims, facilitating positive change in workplaces and communities. By leveraging our expertise and network, we work collaboratively to educate leaders about the often-overlooked issue of abused men, equipping them with the tools to create safer and more supportive environments.
Our offerings aim to educate, empower, and create a support system for men and their family members who have been impacted by abuse. Toward that end, Team Courage offers:
At Team Courage, we believe that empowering victims and educating leaders will lead to lasting change and a more inclusive society. By addressing the abuse of men and providing support services, we aim to break the cycle of violence, promote healing, and create a supportive environment where all individuals can thrive.
We are seeking partnerships, funding, and community support to bring our vision to life. Join us in our mission to build a society free from abuse and provide hope and healing to those affected.
